SYMPTOMS
- Upper abdominal discomfort or pain ( that may become better or worse with eating)
- Belching or bloating
- Nausea & Vomiting
- Loss of appetite and weight loss
- Patients with ulcers may commonly experience a dull or burning pain, anywhere between the breast bone and the naval and in severe cases
- Patient may vomit blood - which may appear red or black
- Show stools that have are dark blood or black and tarry
Dietary and life style Guidelines
GI patients require foods that are mildly flavored and easy to digest and more importantly should be planned diligently to include the foods best tolerated by the individual. Your dietitian will give you a whole list of foods to Include & avoid and customize your diet for you.
