It is vital during pregnancy to focus on your wellbeing and health. The new life growing inside you should be a great motivating factor for you to improve your diet and nutrition.
A healthy diet during pregnancy means eating a wide range of nutritious foods from different food groups in recommended amounts. Whole grains and freshly prepared foods are better options than fast foods and foods with high fats, sugars and additives.
Your diet should be well balanced, include foods like -
- Cereals and Legumes
- Nuts and dried fruits
- Green leafy vegetables
- Milk and diary products
- Fruits and fruit juices
- Use healthy cooking oils
- If supplements are prescribed take them regularly
